Hey all

Both our ah20 sliding doors are sensing some sort of resistance when opening, then close themselves - typically on one of my kids faces. It was funny the first time

Is there a simple maintenance guide for sliding doors covering the following:

-which parts needs cleaning with brake cleaner/blue roll

-which parts need dry grease

-which parts to avoid grease

-any other tips

… I was about to to grease the whole bottom track but played it safe and just did the runner/bearing for now

Thanks all

Also yes I did search the site already and it’s not totally clear/written in a guide style format

First thing to try.

Turn off the power door using button to left off steering wheel.

Fully open the sliding door until it latches, and then fully close, each door.

Turn on power again using switch to left of steering wheel.

Sometimes this is required if the battery is disconnected.

Hey! I’ve done this and will report back if it plays up again

I hope it helps.

On the 20 series, each motorised door has an ecu, that records the full range of door movement. It uses this calibration in order to control the movement speed. Rather than additional sensors that are liable to fail due to dirt or moisture.

Interesting. But also weird. Because it doesn’t do it every time. Maybe one decapitation every five openings?

Anyway I’ll see how it goes this week. Cheers Chris
