Jixipix Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Hi! I'm hoping to board the floor whilst keeping the two long rails. Has anyone done this and if so what insulation did you use - will be adding non slip flooring not carpets, all advice appreciated. Regards Janine
Rojie Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Hi Janine, I just have to ask what are you trying to achieve with just the two rails ?
shawn Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Don't know if this is of any use - I took a seat out and found there was already plenty of insulation under the carpets.
Jixipix Posted July 31, 2021 Author Posted July 31, 2021 Rojie, am intending to add a RR bed which slides forward on the two rails (yes it has been done, yes theirs was compliant, mine won't need to be as I am not having rear seats once converted). Shawn, thanks so much, no I'm aware that I can't board over the thick insulation already fitted so was wondering what other people used but thank you anyway.
Bounzy Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 If I was trying to do this, I would just stick some polystyrene down the gaps the rails leave, remove the carpet, and cut/fit some lino.
Rojie Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Thanks Janine, sorry to be so nosey ! I hope your R an R have lap belts, even if they will never be used, The MOT tester could fail you if not. DVLA has a few pages, if you are in doubt. I had to change my plans or risk a fail. Good Luck Rojie

Good Luck Rojie Hiya, no if I do it, it's not going to have travel seats so will change the v5 to remove additional seats however if I pay for this conversion (frankly very little difference in cost) it will be compliant rgds Janine 🙂
