I have a rear conversion and use an inflatable air mattress with a 240v air pump.

Just a thought Do you have an EHU ?

We bought a rectangular piece of one inch thick memory foam from ebay. Think it was about £30. Rolls up with the duvet and stuffs down the back when you lift the bed up. You could trim it to fit but we didn't and we are glad. The few inches it rises up each side really adds to the comfort.

Google Duvalay. Probably does exactly what you want, but they are expensive.

We tried those. When rolled up it was much too fat to fit behind the seat.
