2013 Alphard series 20, rear shocks

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m sure this has been a previous request, so apologies if I’m duplicating.

Just had my 1st annual service since owning the Alfie, absolutely love it! Everything was fine, and complimented by the garage on how clean everything was. The only thing to come up was a slight misting on one of the rear shocks. Not desperate, but where is the best place to buy genuine replacements. The garage is happy to fit them, if I source them myself. I am not mechanically minded!

Thanks

Genuine parts? Go to Toyota, they can order them in.

Hi, Chris, thank you. Do I take it from your question mark, that you would not necessarily go for genuine parts, are there better alternatives?

I can't advise on aftermarket, as I'm happy using the standard size wheels and suspension.

I go by the premise that the originals lasted 15 years, so I would replace with genuine Toyota.

I made a mistake with drop links, with one of them failing within 2 months.

Yam6 in Southampton, tel 01489 574089 - Speak to Jason, excellent chap, very helpful and knowledgeable. Brilliant service, quick delivery and good prices for 100% genuine Toyota parts. I learnt about them from speaking to independent Toyota / Lexus specialists who use them for parts supply. I have absolutely no connection with them other than being a happy customer. Hope this helps
