Morning. Getting ready for first trip abroad for a few days away. Gone from a Bongo to our Alphard and loving it..does different! We have a spoiler on the back and bit worried about the weight of bikes pushing down and breaking it. Our current rack does fit but pushing abit on the spoiler. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks in advance

Hi Jess – We fitted a towbar and have the Strada Evo 3 bike rack, which keeps the bikes low and gives you vision through the rear view mirror. The roller pull-out system gives sufficient clearance when the Alphard tailgate is lifted, because it dips towards the ground as it pulls out, and can used  to gain access to the rear of the Alphard with bikes still on it. We've used it for a several years now and it's served us well on both short and long European journeys. I believe the Strada Evo, Vario and DL racks use the same pull-out system. Of course you’ll need to fit a towbar, so it’s a more expensive option – but it may be worth considering if you journey regularly with bikes…
