Hybrid Battery and Aux replaced

Featured Replies

Hi folks i have a 2007/8 alphard. Ive replaced the aux battery and the main hybrid high voltage battery from a running vehicle. All the codes it had pointed to the HV battery. I checked them individually and more than 10 cells sat at 5v

I replaced the cells all 7.4v and balanced . Granted not max charged but should still suffice to start the vehicle.

I get the same noise As though it wasnts to start it says ready. You put it into drive and you get a humming sound and eventually it stops And then no noise Nothing happens and ready light

Disappears. Anyone had a similar issue ? I hold the accelerator down it wont fire the engine up either

Any answers would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I took my 2003 Hybrid Alphard to Hybrid Battery Repair (https://hybridbatteryrepair.co.uk/) in Glasgow. Fraser Campbell runs it, and he would be a great person to take your car to and have him assess what's going on. He has a very in depth computer analysis tool that would very likely be able to highlight what the issue is. As a side note, I found Fraser to be very honest, friendly, and very knowledgable on the Alphard Hybrid systems. So, if you are able to get to Glasgow, he would be a great resource. He definitely won't try and sell you something you don't need, so you can ask him for his opinion and advice, without concern that he would try and take advantage of you. Hope this helps!
