  1. Oops! I already posted an intro back in March but had forgotten 🤪
  2. Kia ora koutou katoa I'm a Brit that moved to NZ seven years ago and have been searching for a luxury van for a while. When I discovered the Alphard, it was an instant hit but I wanted one with swivel seats and that took a while. Finally purchased a Hybrid model last March. It's a lovely vehicle to drive but the downside to buying an imported vehicle that isn't particularly well known in NZ, is the lack of online information, hence joining this group!
  3. Hi people! I'm a Brit who moved to NZ around 6 yrs ago & have recently purchased a 2006 Alphard (2.5L 4WD Hybrid). I am super happy with it although there have been a couple of frustrations which I will share via specific questions. Back in Blighty, I enjoyed owning a Citroen Dispatch but it's not sold in NZ so when looking for a similar vehicle I only found tradie vans. Then I spotted an Alphard converted into a campervan & my mind was set - well either a Toyota Alphard or a Nissan Elgrand. I specifically wanted one that had swivel middle seats as I plan is to keep them for occasional passengers and hopefully use them as part of my bed when I convert the rear section into a tiny camper for 1. Unfortunately NZ isn't blessed with eBay or the variety of accessories that you can buy in the UK so it'll be a challenge. I'm looking forward to reading the advice, personal insight and camper conversions tips from other members Sorry I don't have a photo of my car but here's a pic of the place I now call home
