  1. Thanks all. I checked every fuse. Two were broken, swapped them out and I’m good to go!!
  2. I seem to learn all my lessons the hard way @Picasso. I blame the parents
  3. Ah thanks very much! I’m going to spend today checking the fuses and will text the alternator as well. and yeah. My brother said the same thing about the battery… rookie mistake
  4. @Chris.ac Is this true?? I’m in Heavitree - Any chance we can say hello somewhere? I’m happy to travel to you with whatever bribes are necessary
  5. To add - I put the old head unit back in and cancelled the swap. The head unit does not work either.
  6. Hey all During an attempt to swap a head unit over I have shorted something out. My wife is going to kill me in my sleep. Or maybe even while I’m awake? Power was turned on mid swap. There was a quiet fizzle, and a smell. The speedo, rev counter, gear select on the instrument cluster is dead. Lit, but no movement. I cannot open the slide doors unless the van is off. I started checking fuses earlier and have had to pause until tomorrow. The 10a fuses for the cluster seem fine. Any thoughts out there on first things to check? Thank you. I hope I make it through the night
  7. Thanks both! I'm waiting on the head unit to arrive and I'm sure I'll be back in tears shortly
  8. Hey Zak, Yet another revival of this gold mine of a thread. Going through the same motions. Are you still happy with this setup? Apart from the remote thing. Where did you get to with the cameras? I noticed the Ali link mentions 360 cameras can work, wondering how much faith to put in that. And generally this working well long term. Cheers
