  1. Hi @jbh , you may see https://www.joyingauto.eu/android-auto-double-din-head-unit-15.1-inch-hd-touch-screen-8gb-autoradio-with-hdmi.html credit goes to @Voodoo101 . I took this from https://uk.alphardclub.com/forums/topic/9198-looking-for-a-new-head-unit-that-does-everything/#comment-34607
  2. Hi @ombakjernih , Apologies for getting back to you late and thanks for your continued support. I decided to follow you and buy Dudu so I can have the setup setup as yours and able to achieve what you did (parking trajectory, parking radar ,etc) Here's what I have: a) 40 pin socket for the meter b) Raise Canbus box (same model as yours) c) Got a Dudu7 to replace my 2 months old Onkyo so I have the same HU brand as yours But I must admit, I'm still lost due to a struggle of noticing misaligned information in a few places Connection from the meter : I understood from the diagram below that, I need to connect PIN 13 and 14 from the meter However, in your latest comment, it was mentioned I should use Pin 11 and 12 from the meter So tried to find 3rd reference by manually zooming + counting pin from with the photo of your setup, and based on the picture, it was connected with Pin 12 and 13 As I could not decide between the 3 choices (13+14 or, 12+13 or 11 + 12) + I didn't dare to proceed not knowing what would happen if the wiring was not done correctly. Connection to CANBUS box It was mentioned in your latest comment that I should connect with pin 13 and 16 Then I zoomed and manually counted the pin of your setup, I derived it's 11 and 12. Again, I cannot decide which one is the correct. All in all, I strongly believe what you share in this thread is insightful and can benefit greatly a lot of Alphard 20 lovers. I would be grateful if you can review my struggle and guide me to the finish line. Thank you in advance once again for the help.
  3. Hi @ombakjernih Sorry to trouble you again. I'm using the same 20 PIN Raise Canbus decoder box as you. But I struggle to get this working. Can you confirm if I should connect the circled into behind Pin #11 and #12? Connect these green wires behind Canbus decoder's pin 11 and pin 12 accordingly . Thank you.
  4. Many thanks @ombakjernih My Android Unit is a recent model (Onkyo X-QD1800 https://onkyocaraudio.com/products/x-qd1800) To my best guess, new Android head unit models have canbus decoder integrated inside (see screenshot below). I'm thinking i might be able to achieve the same outcome as you but without the need of the black canbus box. This means it should be possible to connect green + green/black cables directly into CAN-TX and CAN-RX to the back of my Android unit somehow. And then I can explore using either HiWorld or Raise options from the settings of my Android head unit. This is in theory though but I derive from a screenshot of my Android unit above. THANK YOU AGAIN for the inspiration through this thread.
  5. Hi @jbh, My screenshot above is 11.6 inches. A few shops in Thailand offers it. This is how it looks https://www.thaicar-accessories.com/2024/01/06/จอ-android-toyota-alphard-anh20/ I don't know if they ship to UK though, it's an offline shop with facebook page. 15 inches was mentioned by Voodoo101, I have not seen one myself.
  6. @ombakjernih Thank you so much for sharing this thread, it is much useful. I'm considering to follow you on this. Just two few questions please? 1. Is this still your current setup or you have changed anything further to have more features and is there any side effect from using so far ? 2. Just for me to avoid any mistake, where should I plug the circled part below pls?
  7. Thanks @Voodoo101. I saw that thread just now! I feel tapping into speedo unit cable sounds safer because it is 'read only'. Doing it with OBD will give extra features to change vehicle settings , it could write something to ECU and if not done right, the risk is higher, no? BTW, upgrading to 15 inches is a huge upgrade and i have not seen anyone done it. Biggest i have seen is 11 inches in attached model
  8. Hi @Voodoo101, have you managed to find solution for this? I have the same problem. My Android unit cannot read the CAN bus. Hence I'm missing a bunch of good features like parking guideline curving following turning of the steering wheel. Not to mention seeing sensors info through the camera view, and other vehicle settings/infos. My model is Vellfire 2024 (Petrol model). From my research, the hybrid model (that comes with amplifier) uses CAN bus system but the pure Petrol model doesn't. Hence I'm stuck, the car is working fine with speakers and steering wheels control but I would love to have full access of features and info through CAN bus. Any help would be appreciated.
