  1. gary253 started following Flat Battery
  2. Maybe there's reason to always carry a spare battery for your key fob. After falling asleep with Netflix playing, the car in it's infinite wisdom decided not to shut off power after a safe voltage level to restart vehicle as it usually does. Hence woke with battery down to 4.5v not even enough to trickle feed from leisure battery. Called Rac who did arrive within the same week. They checked fuses and relays as id already done, I even reset ECU. Anyway vehicle back 12v after jump pack attached but still won't start, green light was showing on starter button too. He was just going to tow me to garage when I noticed the fob wouldn't open power sliding doors. But the car was recognising the key. Thought why not change the battery in fob which was less than a month old. Did so the car then started, baffled but pleased.
