High top or pop-up
Hi. I have an Alphard pop up and can only say good things. Heat and comfort are rarely a problem in an Alphard - even in winter, it is cosy and well insulated. The lower-profile of the pop up when driving is a benefit in winter when it can be windy and icy - much better handling. I don't have the same amount of experience with a high top but I would say you will be happy with an Alphard pop-up camper in any season. It's a winner.

Eco Campers Scotland - help with hybrid battery access
Hi Picasso. Thanks for your response. I tried calling Calder Campers but they said that none of the mechanics from Eco Campers are currently working for them. Darn. I'd really appreciate any other leads anyone has - either from anyone who has managed to access the hybrid battery and / or High Voltage Connector (see pictures) in an Eco Pioneer conversion or someone who knows anyone who worked at Eco Campers (aka Camper Van Scotland ltd) in Denny. My Alphard is currently in a garage awaiting a new gearbox that they can't fit until we find out how to disconnect the hybrid battery safely. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Eco Campers Scotland - help with hybrid battery access
In 2022 I had an Alphard converted by Eco Campers Scotland based in Denny. As part of the conversion they removed the centre console (to allow the passenger seat to rotate) where the hybrid battery and High Voltage Connector were originally located. I now need to access these - especially the HVC to temporarily disconnect the battery to do some work on the vehicle safely. Does anyone know where and how to access the HVC in their Eco Pioneer Alphard conersions? Eco Campers have now ceased trading so I can't contact them but would appreciate any leads for someone who worked on the original conversion, or someone with the information or diagrams that I need. The installers seem to have built a hard floor over the site where the centre console used to be but surely would have created access to the hybrid battery and HVC... surely?
