Cathy why not contact your nearest Toyota dealer, they should have trained mechanics (technicians) most dealerships have electronic diagnostic analysers, and should be able to identify the problem after all its only a motorcar🙂

Thanks Rojie but you're preaching the obvious to someone who's got the heart valve who's got the deffib' who lives on pills to keep me alive and who fault the medical assessment management and the DVLA for over a year to have my issue reconsidered, have you actually been through all this?? I agree, but you have to declare any medical conditions that could affect your driving behaver The DVLA has no jurisdiction over medical conditions, ......once you a have a defibitor fitted into your chest you cannot apply for any licence for driving any vehicle over 3.5 ton

Just a thought about customising your vehicle these days, reason I mention this cause since I had a difibitor fitted in my chest I can no longer drive any vehicle that weights over 3.5ton or a gross train weight of the same, with this in mind I weighed our alphie' at the weight station and it came out at just under 2200, our caravan partially loaded is over 1700 so that would be a problem for me, one issue I found when I used to own and drive motorhomes was the general ignorance of motorhome owners favourite topic was the total lack of understanding of tyre pressures and loads effect the vehicles handling With regard to pop-tops if one intends to use campsite facilities, the smart way these days is to purchase a decent inflatable awning, more room less money!

I use my air compressor with a suitable air jet gun to blow what water has congregated in the gaps😎

Great all this stuff regarding E10, excuse my cynicism but wasn't it a government initiative forced on service stations to supply this fuel because of lower emissions targets and was there not criticism from the people in the know that this fuel used long term may cause damage to high spec' engines such as the 3.0ltr engine in the Alphard sorry I will carry on seeking out 99 Octane quality fuel😎

A lot of imported Alphards are lowered, unfortunately if this is the case there is no quick fixes to this issue other than change of the suspension springs which can lead to finding other faults ...how do I know this, because mine is lowered and sits on 19" wheels and I had learnt very quickly to avoid deep pot holes...yes its looks great but not for rough ground ie: camping

How on earth did you manage to find a garage workshop that charged you £62.0 ? The average garage rates here in the south of England are now £75.00 + and you indicated two mechanics were involved in the work !😦

Spent hours and hours looking for the above, so folks beware if your vehicle has an issue with the struts from a MOT .

Sorry, due to the virus i missed your post, if the vehicle has been lowered wheel offsets can be critical on Alphards....245/45/19 rears, ....235/45/19 fronts (35) for me are too close to being in the skinny rim class=hard ride you could also try quality wheel spacers

I fitted with (assistance) an Alpine 7" Sat nav media head unit does all the usual stuff, phone music radio etc, added two alpine cameras with control units displaying the front outside wide angle and rear wide angle display this also allows you to set it up as a reversing camera, problem is the Sat Nav is no match for the 7" Ventura Snooper and the recent introduction of the Alpine 9" Halo makes the cost of such a luxury well over £1500 disappointing.

Not sure of your circumstances as to why a heater should be necessary? Alphard's did not start life as a van such as VW Transporters etc, having already converted my Alphard into a camper van I can categorically tell you that the rearflooring as well insulated with 20mm thick padding if you don't have a Pop-Top you could line the roof panel. When we owned a VW we used an electric oil fire heater off mains hook up, I'm not sure that petrol heaters are legal and type approved within the scope of motor vehicles as you would be fitting a highly inflammable fuel cell

best bet is to use heavy duty velcro....worked well on mine and is still doing so!

I presume this is an upright fitting if so how much height does it add to the vehicle?

not to be annoying have you got directional tyres fitted?
