Thanks Barry. I think Tara has a MNH10W machine. Tara has a 3.0 litre V6, not a 3.5L. The engines and gearboxes are different. As the ANH 20 series were a newer model there will be many differences. Of course, none of that means Tara doesn't want the manual for a later model; just that, as a newbie, I thought Tara may not be aware of the differences.

Yes. I agree with this. Further, if the dealer does not have the Auction Sheet be suspicious. There are help sheets available on the internet to help you decode the auction sheet. As Larry says, it isn't difficult; and offers some piece of mind.

The forward looking camera, doesn't look forward; it looks downwards. The other two don't look forward either. They cannot be used as dash cams. You may lose the cameras with the Pioneer. Hopefully, someone else has fitted the same unit and can confirm it is possible to integrate the cameras. Proceed with care; you won't want to be changing any fuses !

Hello. Welcome to the Forum. The units fitted to 2006 models are not changeable to English. The head units themselves are. Proceed with care. Some installations are quite easy, others are not !

You can do a search on DVLA. Vehicle details will state when the vehicle was imported. You will need the UK registration number. You can, of course, also check MOT history for vehicles that were imported as they must have an MOT to be registered and taxed.

How you attach the unit to the roof lining could be an issue. I did not have one fitted, but was considering gluing a wooden plate to the ceiling for the roof lining to pass the weight load to. Xtrons do quite a few. Alpine too, and, as Larry says, many others. Perhaps you could consider some hand held units if for use by children. What unit have you removed ?

Yes, That is the front camera. Looks like a triple. Forward looking at the ground to show how close you are to hitting something ! The other two are for 'Peep and Creep' when pulling out from blind corners or drives. Not all aftermarket units work with the camera systems. What Pioneer are you about to fit ?

I believe the OEM units on the 20 series can have the language changed, Unfortunately, I suspect your Alpine is an aftermarket unit. Have you tried some of the Manual Library sites to locate an English version?

Hello Katt. As this is a Forum for Alphards and Vellfires, most of us can only speak with any authority on those. You really need to consider and understand your needs; and drive a couple at least Conversion, whilst it can be tailored to your needs will not be cheap. Budget a minimum of £5k (plus VAT). Rear conversion, side conversion, fridge, hob, basin, toilet, electrics, leisure battery. There are many choices Leadtimes can be lengthy Diy is possible if you can locate the flat pack kits. Not many attempt a scratch build on these. There are lots, and lots, of hidden hardware and features that are best left undisurbed. In my case, the twin single bed option is based on a seven seater 2006 MZ G. A major benefit is that you can use just one bed (but not while travelling), retaining the other as a seat. The middle row seats are Captains versions, although, I believe there are other single seats available. The middle row seats from a seven seater and eight seater are not compatible; as the eight seater has a one and a half seat, plus a single. On the ANH10 models many of the middle seats swivel which can be very useful; mine don't! There is a Annual Alphard Meet in Warkwickshire soon. There will be a large quantity of Alphies there and it would be a fantastic opportunity for you to see an enormous number of possible options. To conclude, the seating options are significant, and some models allow all seats to be flattened, thereby providing absolutely huge 'bedding' area Good luck with your search.

I have never owned a Fiat Panda; you will experience a huge difference, I am sure. An Alphard will easily accommodate two bicycles, some members transport their motor cycles. Buy a rubber mat for the bikes. I us one to prevent unnecassary mess from my beloved pooch Actually, the fuel consumption is quite good; but not, no doubt, when compared to a Panda. The engines (especially the V6s) are very torquey, so you don't need your right foot much. There is at least one thread regarding actual real life fuel consumption on this Forum. I don't think any of us have the faintest idea what will happen with fuels, emissions, ULEZ etc over the next decade or more If I had to guarantee anything, it will be that taxes will increase whatever you drive; electric / hybrid included. I humbly suggest you decide on the now, rather than what the future may, or may not, be. All the Alphies Vellfires are about the same size, and, compared to a Panda, are pretty big ! V and G are different distribution channels resulting in a few small trim differences. As with all vehicles, consider the important options, ignore the rest, buy the best you can reasonably afford and, imho get an RAC or AA report before committing to purchase.
