  1. The screws on that ebay have much deeper cuts to the top of the screw. The cuts in mine are far far shallower. Also, there are 2 flower patterns. An outer one and one around the center raised circular it. The inner flower is not symmetrical either.
  2. Hi all, I spent today trying to remove my head unit, unsuccessfully. I have been completely stumped by a pair of weird little screws holding it in either side of the radio. It looks a bit like a torx security screw .. but its not. The flower head pattern in the middle is not symmetrical. It appears to be keyed to a specific design. I just can't get it out. The edge of the screw is tapered so I can't get vise grips on it and the space is too small and unwieldy to get my dremel into. Anyone have any ideas how i can get the things out? A friend who is into Toyotas and is a bit of a car radio genius has not seen a screw like this and has gone off and checked the alphard specs and it should be 4 screws like the upper 2 philips screws to remove it. This is ultra annoying as I can't even get the old radio out to find out exactly what sort of wiring loom i need. Only suggestion thus far is to epoxy something to the bolt and then hope that holds and unscrew it ...
  3. I have just bought a 2012 ATH20W and I'm in Cutteslowe ... would be happy to meet you somewhere and show you round it ... I really like it. Lacking in a few key areas (12V outlets!) but I have some idea and have pulled my split charge kit from my bongo just before i "scrapped" it ... so just need to transfer the leisure battery and split charger ... need to spend some serious time trying to figure out cable routing though 🤣 Amazingly comfortable beast though!
  4. Oh yeah ... also have an, effectively, useless NSZT W62G radio. Seems to need an SD card ... anyone got a link for one I can "obtain" or do I have to buy one off ebay ... If the latter will def look at pulling the radio and replacing it with something akin to the amazing (and cheap) 10" android head unit I had in the bongo!
  5. ... But i finally bought one last week. Bought a 2012 Alphard hybrid. I love it. Have owned a 1996 2.5L Diesel Turbo Mazda Bongo for the last 10 years and the vehicle has been amazing but I recently did my cylinder head for the 2nd time ... and this was just after I had my lock removed and car radio stolen in Rome. So that along with a cracked windscreen and a faulty aircon have led me to let it go and buy an Alphard of the sort I've been looking out for! Now I want to do a few things. I want to add some extra 12V power sockets and I'm pretty sure mine does not have an inverter (can't find an outlet) ... so would look at installing a 240V one. Would also love a pop roof. Any suggestions for all of the above? (Happy to do the work myself) Cheers!
