  1. Thanks, I went to Toyota and they can get one by the end of November! eye watering price over £400 with VAT I don't mind paying the price, it's the wait, and not really practical to use the vehicle with an insecure exhaust, looks like a trip to my welder friend for now. Also Toyota no long stock a front lambda sensor, so I've ordered a Denso one online.
  2. Anyone had to source a replacement silencer for a 3.0l? Struggling to find one, mines sheared off at the entry to the silencer Regards Tim
  3. I bought my MZG 4WD from Algys, as I live not too far from their depot in Avonmouth. You need to have patience as I agreed on the Alphard mid April and took delivery 31 August, the DVLA took almost 1 month to send me the registration document! However it came in under budget thanks to a lower price at the Japaneses auction, so they passed this on to me. I still got a very clean top spec vehicle for about £2500 under a dealer price. It's a bit of a chance buying a Alphard like this, but they have a reputation to maintain, so they can't supply rubbish. My advice: go for the highest spec and lowest mileage, don't concern yourself about age. I had a Bongo for 10 years, and I missed the luxury and comfort, the Alphard delivers all this and more.
  4. Hi all, Just collected my 2003 7 seat Alphard, 3.0l 4WD, very pleased first impressions. One question: can you turn the 2 middle seats to face the rear like the 8 seat version? Thanks in anticipation Tim
  5. The very best option for comfort is a "Duvalay" mattress- not cheap but very good nights sleep
  6. Hi After a lot of research I've just taken the plunge and am having a 3.0 L MZG imported from Japan with 35,000 miles on the odo. Guessing it will take a couple of months before I'm driving it. Previously I had a 2.5 diesel Bongo for 10 years, a great car which I miss, currently driving a Hiace Van, greta reliability but it's a van! Usual route of a towbar, underseal, and probably LPG conversion. Any recommendations in the Bristol area for LPG? regards Tim
