  1. I wonder how the lpg behaves on extremely cold days? if used for only short journeys, is that any issue?
  2. Spoke to Profess guy Andrew, he can do annual check/lpg kit mot sorts remotely and send filters to change. To leave car for four days at his place is bit inconvenient but I suppose has to be done. I got only 1 shell selling lpg in my neck of the wood, I'm also feeling unsure too go for it not.
  3. battery change might have triggered it? Often radio code loss / needing reset, is similar unintended consequence of battery supply being interrupted during change. It should ideally be done with alternate power supply attached to battery terminals, so car doesn't have power loss and get some sort of "reset". I'm no expert but from what I've seen, this is my guess.
  4. Not necessarily an accessory but neat idea to get for Alphards Frequency Changing Import Converter Antenna Radio FM 88-108 Mhz For Japanese Car https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402056836607
  5. https://www.fuelly.com/car/toyota/alphard Useful resource on this topic. Thanks to forum owner / creator
  6. Perhaps we could copy the information and then try the "surgery". Tomorrow when in front of pc
  7. Every car must have this gadget (preferably with lithium batteries) - LED flare... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B093RLNW2G
  8. Looks good, I'll prefer one that is purely usb powered..always start and go. But great to see so many options. I didn't realise. Some expensive ones claim better/ faster / more accurate chip.
  9. Any recommendations on best Overhead display for speed? They look cool! I'm thinking to not tamper with speedo or anything at all.
  10. I'll like to find decent quality curtains set... Any recommendations? Something bit proper like those that sometimes come with jdm imports. EBay has some listed but they look little lousy..
  11. This is so smart and easy one πŸ‘..silly to rip it all and install usb units inside it, that may even fail. I have list of 100v gadgets that I intend to buy! I think some from US might also work? Might need adaptor?
  12. I'm sure there must be Bluetooth devices that broadcast in Japanese fm range, so without changing headunit, one can play stuff from mobile right away. I'll try to dig link and post.
  13. To get the ball rolling I'll start with the dashboard matts ( example: on aliexpress for Gen 1 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000021581313.html
  14. This accessories megathread can be one place to jot down all accessories, fun gadgets, utility items, addon, links, share review, experiences etc that go well with Alphards Vellfires. I've seen accessories being mentioned on some of the threads but then struggle to find it.
  15. I started "mega thread" for mpg and couple of "megathread" on other topics. Ideally if forum owner or moderator can change in the mpg subject "megathread" (remove space) and put a number next to it, we can easily reference and lookup for exact try thread.
  16. I'm told LPG gives 10 percent less mpg than petrol. So it's not too bad. Cost of kit can be 1100-1500 range, so depending on miles clocked it should work. Now whether it affects engine life, piston rings, performance etc, these are questions we wait for some experienced blokes to comment on.
  17. That's what I remembered from last trip, thanks for confirming. I assume ferry are not having such restrictions?
  18. Morning fellow members, LPG Gurus and Students are invited to this post. looks like LPG kits, conversion, performance, issues, tips, tricks, costs, safety information etc, there is so much to talk about LPG kits that it deserves its own dedicated MEGATHREAD. Alphards and Vellfires can be bit more green with this. Please share your experience What kit you use? Stag? Brc? More? Lessons learnt? MPG you get? Things you wish you knew? Access to pumping facilities? Travel restrictions (if any)? Tank sizes? Tank placement? Etc
  19. Anyone with LPG kit and can add some stats?
  20. Cheers Rojie for reminding. Anyone posting any contacts on Google sheet, should not misunderstand that they can post commercial entries on this forum. Most people don't bother and suggestion of collaborative / collective help, often don't go that far. I suspect the Google sheet will die due to neglect anyway. Call me sceptical but that is my experience.
  21. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rclJkgZ2UZnSORT2u7Csl8w3lS8IQdIt9cau8p16R48/edit?usp=sharing Hi All Members - old and new, many of the important discussions on this forum tend to get lost burried under a pile of helpful posts. I feel strongly that it will really help everyone if we have a snapshot / capture of these golden bits of information in an accessible format. Please use the above link to this Google sheet - its fairly simple and easy to use. In spirit of 'pay it forward' anyone receiving helpul information, contacts, solutions etc from the forum could try to add them here. This shared resource can live in parallel to the forum in an informal snapshot format for capturing important bits, so it can ease the pain and people don't have to 'reinvent the wheel'. It can have contacts for repairs, camper conversion, importers, sellers, insurance etc - anything you feel can be important / useful. Business owners / service providers can also add information about their businesses. Hope this helps everyone.

  23. No one seems to have responded to suggestion about compilation of contacts / pointers. Next person comes round with similar questions or issues will have 'reinvent the wheel'. I'll probably go ahead and create one Google spreadsheet and hope it gains traction.
  24. All these contacts being mentioned in threads, they really need to go into a compilation somewhere. Can someone suggest how to do this? Google sheet idea was not very well received.
  25. why would someone remove the wiring and complicate the matters? Wonder if it is some export regulation or seller was being stupid? Perhaps you can share some photos to paint a picture of what is going on
