  1. We have reluctantly decided to sell our Alpard camper conversion. We love it but we are now after something a bit bigger. Price £11,450 ono Year 2003 Mileage: approx 80,000 MOT till June 2025 Very clean vehicle inside and out. Toyota Alphard imported from Japan in 2022 and converted to a campervan with a rear kitchen. Two rows of seats, with a table and side seats behind. The middle seats can be rotated. Gas hob with two burners. Sink with electric water pump. Plenty of cupboard space which can be accessed front and back, so that cooking can be done outside or from the inside. Electric hookup with 240v socket plus leisure battery charger. Coolbox with fridge in lid. 12 volt internal lighting and USB charging. Table and middle seats can be lowered and converted into a full width double bed. Two sunroofs. Accessories include a drive-away awning and front/side window blackout shields. Tow bar fitted. Only 80,000 miles. Radio, CD player, satnav, aircon, reversing camera, electric side doors. Petrol engine with Automatic transmission, it is a pleasure to drive. Amazing condition for its age. As a small camper it is ideal - charged as a car on ferries, and only 2m high it fits in height restricted carparks etc. Two new front tyres fitted less than 2000 miles ago. Service history available since imported. 0b70256b-8afd-4524-9f08-cc9a546aac91.jfif 2e6034f0-647a-4df8-b73f-7ad08c4c091c.jfif 3df7f547-bae3-4112-bb87-7dcf77f3910a.jfif 3f78b982-9adc-466b-87e3-4085142ac329.jfif 9c2bf09a-68f2-4b15-b6ef-11cb2341bfff.jfif 9d268692-8d0a-44ea-865c-b69f6a01fb09.jfif 30f7a97b-b027-4331-a07c-34a5569f947b.jfif 64e07607-f5fa-42b6-a12b-74476736a3c8.jfif 6080fc09-6219-4b2e-ac23-42a0072e13a7.jfif 6402db83-776c-4928-a731-937f1022c9e3.jfif 7408f617-1a1e-402c-a729-fc67a36a3484.jfif 69100ed3-a8cf-4220-94b1-7114c55e360e.jfif 32745004-b4f7-4400-be87-4f21e7629edb (1).jfif b8b0d1e2-1634-451a-b33b-4510799f2c85.jfif c906b0bf-17ee-4e93-b748-56fcd26d0507.jfif cb713839-2deb-4963-85ab-357c7213eea6.jfif df9483a6-654a-485d-a3b4-f4a6bdabc3d8.jfif e7caf7bb-98f7-4881-99a7-0f582d461dd2.jfif f417b734-5686-48b1-bc5f-bc52b18f2fb4.jfif f161067b-bdbf-4818-9d63-abd42a042a06.jfif
  2. Thanks Robert, the link given by Picasso above is cheaper, £18 for one including postage. I'll let you know if it is successful.
  3. It's the seat behind the driver's seat. On the inside when the seat is facing forwards
  4. LN53FHE Thanks Lee
  5. After a trip away our Alphard (2003 2.4L) has a couple of minor repairs required. First is a broken clip that holds the front fairing, had to have a tempoary fix of gaffer tape to stop it popping out (see photo). The second is the plastic cap that covers a seat hinge - the tabs have broken off (see other photo) and it doesn't stay in place. Are these parts possible to obtain in the UK?
  6. Thanks for the suggestions. Another question: Is there any danger of the weight of the bikes preventing the open tailgate to stay up?
  7. That looks very interesting, presumably you don't need a tail board with lights and numberplate if it is mounted as shown?
  8. As he wasnt sure, the fitter did them up to 180 Nms which is about 132 ft lbs. So they are not likely to come loose!
  9. Thank you very much 😀
  10. Can anyone recommend a bike rack that fits on the rear door of an Alphard and still allows the door to be opened even when a bike is loaded?
  11. I had some new tyres fitted, and the fitters were a bit concerned that they couldn't find the manufacturer's recommended wheel nut torque in their database. Does anyone know what it is? (2003 Alphard 2.4L)
  12. I just followed the advice above - using the year of manufacture (2003 in our case -> Euro 3)
  13. Correction: it's about 8km /litre (our odometer is in km), so about 45 miles after the warning light.
  14. Thanks, I think we're getting at least 8 miles / litre. So that's about 70 miles. No need to panic when the light comes on then 🙂
  15. Approximately how many miles can I do after the low petrol warning light comes on? Useful thing to know 🙂 (2003 2.4L petrol Alphard) Thanks
  16. We use a magnetic strip that attaches to the awning plus a couple of guy ropes over the van to securely hold it. It means no modifications are necessary to the bodywork.
  17. OK. But I read an earlier thread where someone tried one of those - and several others - without success. How sure can I be that it will work with our 2003 2.4L Alphard?
  18. Thanks. If we are passing near there sometime I might ask if you are available.
  19. Thanks for that. Found it but unfortunately my cheap AutoLink device doesn't connect electronically. I have found posts on here describing difficulties finding a suitable scanner. As the warning light goes off after a while I'm going to assume it's just a non-serious sensor problem.
  20. Is there an OBD connector on the Alphard 2003? If so, where is it? I need to check out an engine warning light? Thanks
  21. That's great - thank you
  22. Yes, I know how to get it - but the form asks for the "Euro Standard" of the vehicle which I don't know.
  23. No, it's not hybrid, just the standard 2.4L petrol engine.
  24. Planning to take our 2003 Alphard to France in a couple of weeks. I've just found that that we may need a Crit'Air vignette sticker for certain cities, but to apply I need to state the Euro emissions standard (EURO1 - EURO6) which isn't on the registration document. How do I find that out? Also, do I need to use headlight deflectors? Thanks
  25. I think that is what Neil_c was trying to explain above - thanks Neil.
