  1. I'm trying to find the reversing (backup) light wire so I can splice into it for towbar wiring. Before I battle with removing all of the trim pieces from the tailgate, does anyone have the pinout for the two connectors that carry all of the tailgate electrics. There's a blue and a white connector behind the rear, nearside upper trim panel (circled in red on attached diagram). I've got the Gen2 wiring details but I'm not convinced it's the same for Gen1 - can anyone help. (I know I can poke around with a meter but it would be a lot easier if I had a diagram or knew which wire it was in advance). TIA BB
  2. Chris.ac - so is the reversing camera video being overlayed with the reverse guidelines in the parking assist ECU and then this 'overlayed' video sent in digital form to the head unit via the blue GVIF connector? If this is the case then maybe there is no analogue video going directly into the head unit. I have seen references to being able to connect to the reversing camera analogue video in a connector under the passenger seat so maybe this is the way I need to go. If I had a set of proper wiring diagrams/schematics, I would work it out but I haven't managed to get that for my gen1.
  3. Aha, thanks for this, I didn't realise it was a triple camera. I'm learning lots here😁 I've already fitted a Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB but only connected up the speakers, car play and steering wheel controls so far. These are all working fine. It has video inputs for 2 cameras and an AUX Video/Audio input (mini jack). Would be nice to also get at least the forward looking camera connected.
  4. Interesting........thanks Chris😇 Mine doesn't have the 4-pin connector that others report being for reverse camera so I need to have another look and try and find which connector it comes in on. I sold my head unit so can only now look at the existing wiring in the car. What is 'auto parking' and 3-camera setup? I thought mine only had a reversing camera but it does have this in the front grille......is this also a camera/cameras?
  5. Looking for help with reversing camera wiring so I can connect up the camera to my recently installed Pioneer double DIN head unit. Some head units appear to have the reversing camera connections on a 4-pin white plug and the wiring appears to be well known...... Mine on the other hand has the wiring on a 2-pin blue connector (with outer shield connected to the cable screen). Brown and purple wires..... Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this or know what the brown and purple wires are. I presume one is the video signal and the other is a DC power feed to the camera itself? Thanks in advance.
