Toyota Alphard 2003 3.0 93k miles
Location Ely Cambridgeshire CB6
Looking for £15k with all included accessories
MOT to August, but obviously will renew if not sold by then.
last MOT failed initially due to Steering rack pins. These have been replacedIt failed due to emissions, but after investigation this was due to it being tested on petrol but the cars computer taking time to adjust as the fuel/air mix is different on lpg/petrol, so no actual issue and it passed on retesting. essentially present the cars computer taking for MOT on lpg, or ensure you’ve driven plenty of miles on petrol only before test! But the garage advice was it’s best to just test on LPG.
lots of reading below, but feel free to ask questions, arrange a viewing or ask for more photos etc.
some great accessories included93k Miles. (130800 on clock. (First 109165 in KM in Japan and So this is 21635 miles in UK and 70971 miles in Japan = 92606 miles)
The mileage and speeds are all in Miles and MPH now as it has been chipped.
Side Conversion with sink and two burner stove
Pop Top roof
Rock and roll bed. With two seatbelts.
Power Inlet on side of van fused connected to two sockets. Will include a hookup cable.
Leisure battery that charges when engine is running. Powers the internal lights and two internal 12v cigarette sockets
Stereo has been swapped to a Kenwood and has a reversing camera and Apple CarPlay
Converted to use LPG as well
As Petrol in 2021. Allows it to run much cheaper. LPG in UK is around £1 per litre just now. In Europe it’s around 70cents!
LPG has an 80l tank. So 64litre usable capacity. Roughly 250miles. Which combined with petrol fuel tank means the van can travel around 550 miles without stopping
Wheels have all been replaced with Black Wolfrace Alloys. And Tyres are all reasonably new. Think the rear tyres are 3 years old and have maybe 15k miles on them. And front are between 1-2 years old with maybe 10k miles on them.
Van has successfully toured the western Isles, north coast 500, Germany for the Euros, Holland and Belgium, Cornwall and various other short weekend trips in Norfolk.
Drives well and is a very comfortable drive.
Be sad to sell it, but a few changes in circumstances mean it listing this to gauge interest and sell.
Spark plugs were all replaced when LPG was installed.
Comes with two working keys.
Accessories
Outdoor Revolution inflatable Drive away awning
Inner tent for drive away awning
Ground sheet for drive away awning
Carpet for drive away awning
Drive away connection kit for awning.
Driveway kit and inner tent etc all combined is probably worth around £500 new
Thule Backspace Storage Box which fits onto bike rack
Thule 3 bike rack to fit on Tow Bar these two items are around £1000 when new!
Thetford portapotty and wooden storage box with Alphard Logo. (Understand if this is not wanted! But I think we have literally used it once, so the option is there to take it if required)
Alphard branded rug
Outdoor Revolution Self inflating mattress designed to fit the roof space
Outdoor Revolution Rock and Roll Self inflating mattress designed to fit on top of the rock and roll bed.
Mattresses are around £150 new
Set of 10 foil backed/ padded window covers to insulate and keep light out
Curtains fitted on all rear windows and a curtain between rear and front of vehicle also.
Front Windscreen external cover. Again helps insulate against cold and heat and keep light out and provided privacy.
Campinggaz canister not full, but obviously exchangeable.
Solar panel and wires will be left in situ These just need to be connected to a battery like Bluetti or Jackery. (I’m intending to keep the battery) but can be negotiated)
Solar panel etc again is probably worth £200 new
Maybe some other accessories, as happy to include anything that I can’t use myself for regular tent camping trips, but I’ve listed the main accessories.
While uploading photos, realised I have a portable projector and screen also, so happy to include this too if asking price is met!

I’ve used both the Thule Euroclassic 929 and the Thule XT3 bike racks and the tail has opened fine.
(only reason I sold the 929 was as you can get a storage box to fit on the xt3 if your not carrying bikes).
-
I’ve used Armor headlight wipes. Worked pretty well.
got to work reasonably quick as the wipe dries out and there’s a lot of surface to wipe!
-
Mine is a side conversion. And have a couple of outdoor revolution self inflating ones.
rock and roll - which fits the rock and roll bed perfectly
and the top of the pops one from them that fits the pop top space perfectly.
now neither will fit yours perfectly but outdoor revolution do a fair range of self inflating mattresses. And I’d say they are brilliant quality for the price.

I bought one of these from AliExpress a couple of months ago. Not officially Lego. But it is Lego compatible.
There’s a few sellers on AliExpress selling this model and it works out around £21 including tax and shipping.

If you don’t mind me asking,
how much do these cost? Im
thinking of getting a couple of things done myself!

I did mine without pluging into a computer?!
I got key on eBay for I guess £20, got it cut and did the process that the guy on eBay said. No computer involved?

Hi, I have a 2004 3.0 Alphard with a gas conversion.
I am about to fit a rear kitchen conversion.
Has anyone any ideas on the best place to store the spare wheel. I have a towbar fitted, does anyone know of any carrier which can attach to this?
Any ideas & suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve got a gas conversion too. But just carry a can of Holts Tyrerepair instead of a spare wheel.

Hi Jonathan
Is your van from Andy's Imports?
Cheers
Russ
I believe so, although I didn’t buy it directly from them.

Same here. What rail are you using? I'm using a magnetic strip.
Another thread on here somebody had used sika fix and attached a metal rail under the pop top. so I did that.
If you cut the C section of the metal rail in a few places with a hacksaw it allows you to bend the rail to match the contour of the roof.
works pretty well.
Next plan is a solar panel and portable battery!
oh and this rug arrived today….

I use a Outdoor Revolution Cayman Midi Air Low

I’m considering it!
I was wanting to add some solar and realised it’s a waste with a rubbish leisure battery. And then though if I get a portable I can connect the solar to that instead as it has a built in mppt

Hi Wendy,
We converted our 3.0l Alphard campervan to LPG (Prins system), it's generally been around half-price compared to petrol, though I think the fuel efficiency is a bit less. Whether it's worthwhile financially depends on your anticipated mileage, but there's also the environmental advantage (67% CO2, 37% CO, 18%NO, 60% HC, 50% particulates....). Also, added a Gaslow bottle for cooking, tee'd from the LPG filler, which is cheaper than Calor/Camping Gaz in the long run. Overall, it was a good move, although opportunities to travel as much have been a bit restricted during the pandemic, for obvious reasons...
We've had no difficulty finding LPG on our travels, though it needs planning ahead. We also tend to check what the app says, because they're not always up to date. We've used:
https://www.mylpg.eu/stations/united-kingdom/#map
the most, and there's now (as people have already said)
Regards
so on side or rear of vehicle you have one autogas inlet? And that automatically fills both the refillable lpg tank for the car, and also the gaslow bottle?
