  1. Rojie, there sees to be a bit of a grey area on sizings with these covers, especially the 'off the shelf one size fits all', varieties, there's a company on Amazon, Mobile Garage, that do a lot of van covers, and each size is designed to fit a few vehicle models, so obviously just a 'general' fit, which I suppose would be OK, however, I'd be worried about it flapping off in a stiff wind, which is mainly the reason I stuck with Auto covers, it's a bit more expensive, but hopefully will fit perfectly.
  2. When I started getting issues with Auto covers, I looked into alternatives and found the stormforce cover which would definitely have been my next option, my only concern with that one was the sizing for my particular van, don't know about the Voyager, but note on the write up that it's only water resistant, not waterproof which you might find an issue, definitely worth considering the stormforce though, as the one I'm buying has gone up in price considerably, now £259.00.
  3. Update.......finally had a reply from a lady at the company, very apologetic and explaining the cancellation issue, have now had my CC refunded and have re-ordered, so hopefully a product review will follow.
  4. OK, as an update for any members following this topic with perhaps a view on purchasing a cover from Auto covers UK, be aware that after nearly three weeks since confirming my order, they have informed me (only because I contacted them first & asked for status), that they have cancelled it due to them updating their bank details, whatever that means, it smacks of a touch of BS to me, anyway, after getting an initial reply I am now getting no contact either by email or phone, my recommendation is 'AVOID '.
  5. I've ordered one from Auto covers .co.uk, (find them online), but haven't actually received it yet, so can't comment on the quality etc, funnily enough, I literally emailed them last night to find out what the delay is as I ordered it on the 11th, when I do take delivery, I'll put a post on here as to my opinion.
  6. Is that the small circle inside the larger circle Chris?.
  7. Mine certainly has only one powered door, the passenger seat side, however, even the manual door has a self closure operation.
  8. Hi all, and specifically Alfie, here is an idea of the positioning of headlight beam deflectors for European driving, I had these fitted at my local garage and as you can see I have since removed them, but fortunately haven't cleaned off the residue, hopefully this may help with members fitting for themselves.
  9. That's a good idea, pity I didn't think of that before I removed them, I'll see if I can get a piccy.
  10. Hi Alfie, in the end due to time constraints and lack of information, I took the van to my local garage, who, for a quick £20 Bung, fitted them using their beam adjuster apparatus, since returning to the UK, I removed the deflectors, which left behind the sticky marks, now I know where to fit new ones in Spring when I have to go back. Have a great trip to Spain.
  11. Haha, actually I'm in Kent, but I take your point re Tornados, it's just that sometimes it sure sounds like one. 😀
  12. Hi all, my Alphard won't fit through my garage door, and I'm not convinced that one of those tent style ones from Clarkes (Machine Mart), will survive the frequent tornados that rip through our patch, so am considering an outdoor winter cover, have any of you members got/had one?, and if so, any recommendations would be much appreciated.
  13. Just as an update on this thread, I have established that the knocking noise is indeed the exhaust banging on the tow bar frame, I cable tied a piece of hard foam to the tow bar fitting and it was all quiet until the heat from the exhaust melted it then the banging started again, so now just need to find a permanent solution.
  14. Going to be spraying underbody protection in the next couple of weeks so glad to find out the position of jacking points, and I'm assuming that safety stands are another name for Axle stands?.
  15. It would appear that once converted, it all turns into a bit of an insurance minefield, I will be following any posts regarding this with great interest for when I eventually convert.
  16. Great feedback guys, appreciate it, thanks.
  17. Thanks.
  18. Good news that you have had a positive result Richard, I will take a look at that possible cause on mine as the spare wheel was not the culprit.
  19. Today while checking to see if the front passenger seat in my 2003 Alphard was a 'Captains ', (it wasn't), I found that a DVD player had been installed under there, in it was a disc 'Voice Navigation System Japan ', the player itself has no operating controls other than to put in or eject a disc, question, does anyone on the Forum know if this is a standard bit of kit or not?.
  20. Rojie, in answer to your questions, yes, intermittently when not towing, and with regard to the bushes definitely not as my Alphard had only done 6000 miles at the time, do you think that fitting a tow bar would affect them then?.
  21. Hi Richard, I have also had a tow bar fitted recently by a company in Tonbridge and have noticed that I now also get a knocking and thumping sound from the back, especially when at low speed or under load, I was going to check that the spare wheel had been put back properly as apparently this can cause noise if not, might be worth a look initially.
  22. Have to agree with Rolje on this, sounds like a bad idea even if it were feasible.
  23. I'm not looking forward to mine going wrong for sure 🤔😮
  24. Seriously, I'm so glad I joined this group, I've learned so much about these vehicles in such a short time 😊😊
  25. Hi to all club members from myself, Nigel, and my good lady Shirley, we have recently become the proud owners of a stunning 2003 Alphad purchased from Paul Mundy and intend to drive down to Croatia in a couple of weeks time, I've bought some headlight beam deflectors but the Alphad isn't on the list of vehicles showing placement, can any members offer any advice on this?. Cheers.
