  1. Maybe tracking and balancing needs checking and brake pads/discs
  2. Hi, me again.. I took the Alphard to GasTech in Warrington and hallelujah they’ve solved the problem of the engine light and the heat too much under the bonnet.. 2 air hoses had been put on the wrong way round and 1 of them stretched to fit, so there was a tear.. So they’ve been replaced and a new air filter sensor and all good . Given the old gal a good run and it was perfection.. Thanks all
  3. Thanks .. it went back to the importer/converter day after I got it.. they kept it for 6 weeks sorting out another problem, but couldn’t find any thing to answer on the very hot thing.. Unfortunately they don’t actually have a mechanic on site full time. I didn’t realise this when I ordered it.. I am however going to take it to a garage that love to sort out Japanese imports .. fingers crossed.
  4. Hi, new to the Alphard world and loving the motor. It’s a 2008 3ltr 4wd series 1. the engine seems to get too hot, even on a short run. The bonnet isn’t hot but the heat eminates from the front grill. Then with bonnet open it feels and smells hot. Can also feel the heat under the drivers side wheel arch an hour later. Temp gauge is normal, fluids all ok, no leaks. So far have mechanics stumped. Does anyone have any idea before I take it back in to be investigated? thanks Sim
