Martylew, this sliding door aka power door design to lubricate and maintenance frequently to prevent jammed or wire broken, almost every month I see this problem in our workshop.

Clean up your rail with WD40, dry with contact cleaner and apply with spray grease, every month better.

Sometimes the transponder key also can cause this problem, probably malfunction or out of battery.
