  1. Pzsurf don't worry I think Picasso was referring to J&R trading who I commented on earlier in the post
  2. What company did you buy the good ones from ?
  3. I think it still does it when I drop down a gear but it's less noticeable. I don't think it's the gears
  4. I've just had it changed at Toyota this week. I thought the same it might be related to old oil. Unfortunately it's made no difference at all.
  5. Thanks for the update. My Alphard does not judder until it's done a few miles (warmed up) then the judder starts when accelerating especially up hill (under load)
  6. I've got a similar problem but I've noticed J&R Trading get terrible reviews. Have the ones your bought been ok ? I got a quote for £1000 each from Toyota!
  7. Looking for replacement driveshafts on a 3lt 2003 Alphard. Toyota want £1000 for each one A company called J&R Trading advertising them for less than £200 the pair. Their reviews are not good though. Has anyone bought from them. Can you recommend them or any other company?
  8. Just got a quote for new driveshafts from Toyota...... £1000 each ! J&R trading has them for one tenth of that! But their reviews are terrible. I think they must be cheap copies. Loads of reviews said they failed after a couple of months. Has anyone used J&R for driveshafts?
  9. I was going to order new driveshafts from J&R trading until I read the reviews. Anyone recommend where they get good quality driveshafts from?
  10. Had the transmission oil changed at Toyota. It's made no difference at all. What next, drive shafts???
  11. I thought CV/driveshaft. But wouldn't it judder at all speeds? Transmission change next week. I'll post with result. I've noticed a lot of people with mk 1 Alphards are experiencing this problem
  12. Yes changing down does reduce it. I've booked it in to a Toyota garage next week for a transmission oil change (£300 quote). I'll update you if it cures the judder
  13. My 2003 3lt has a judder when travelling up hill 20 to 30 mph .it has brand new tyres and tracking is good. My thoughts are change transmission oil. Or CV driveshaft. Or engine mounts. Anyone else had this problem?
  14. My 2003 3lt has a judder when travelling up hill 20 to 30 mph .it has brand new tyres and tracking is good. My thoughts are change transmission oil. Or CV driveshaft. Or engine mounts. Anyone else had this problem?
  15. Thanks but I doubt a extremely thin coat of paint would cause any issues. I live in an urban where you seldom go above 30mph. However thanks again for the info. I now feel my tyres are van rated and must have the wrong strength Sidewall
  16. 35psi all round
  17. I've just had the wheels refurbished and they look great but now I'm wondering if I should get brand new 17inch wheels and tyres rather than replacing the 16inch tyres. Is there a market for 4 used 16 inch wheels with tyres?
  18. I think mine are van spec tyres because they have a c rather than h on the tyre.. I've been given advice on Facebook they will ride hard because c rated van tyres have very stiff sidewalls. ..time to change I think...
  19. The cornering is ok. It's just the feel on the road. Lots of road vibrations
  20. Can anyone advise on the best (in terms of ride) tyres for a 2003 V6 model Alphard. The ones I have on are 205/65 R16C 107/110 t. I don't think they are the correct tyre (possibly wrong width ratio)
  21. Recently had very yellow plastic headlights. Looked terrible. Put cutting paste on and used an electric polisher. then used a kit called Armorall Headlight Restorer Wipes (under £10 Halfords). The kit chemically removes the yellow. It then has a UV protection wipe to seal it. It is the UV that causes the problem. Leave it that day, it will haze over. Polish out the following day with a car polish.
