    car wont crank

    hi I've been trying to get the car started for the past week I've tried everything to get it going its had a new ignition switch tested the battery and starter all seem fine but when you put the key in the ignition you get power until you try to crank the engine then i just get a flash of the lights on the dash and that is it no crank or nothing, i have also tried starting the car in neutral but that doesn't work either. if anyone could shine some light on this it would be very much appreciated as i am pulling my hair out with it now thanks.
