Hello all,
I'm new here, picked up my alphard gen1 facelift from Steve in Southampton a little over a month ago, the first job I did on the car was the cruise control as I was having cramps first time driving back home, I guess I'm not used to driving an automatic yet.
I've learned most things from this forum (thank you! Please search for those in forum) but still i was not willing to strip the black wire and solder although I'm competent I don't want to mess up a main signal wire that's controlling the throttle..
I did find another link through this forum to a Japanese page, the guy bought a suitable part coded 75B037 / M6509, that came with the 'white plug' already connected to the main plug, see pic here:
The white plug replaces the one on the stalk. Unplug original, plug this one in, easy. You need to look very carefully at those item pictures on ebay, not all come with the white plug. I managed to order a used corolla one from Lithuania, arrived in a week.
Works perfectly immediately, except an idle speed relearn was needed after disconnecting battery, luckily I was testing at night with no traffic, almost.
Attaching below my eBay purchases, if you need the perfect cap, it was 45186-58020-C.
Hello how are you. I am not technical in anyway. Are you able to please help fit a cruise control to my 2 vehicles. 1 Alphard and 1 Vellfire. Please let me know how much. Many Thanks

Hello. Please, if I may ask, how long did you have to wait amd how did you get the approval confirmation?
Approx 2 - 3 weeks. It didn't take long

You don't have to answer those. There is no EU compliant emissions testing, these are not Type approved vehicles.
I just gave them supporting documentation for proof of age, being the export Japanese export certificate, and an MOT certificate which was done under the chassis number.
Included a cheque for the registration fee and 12 months tax.
And 2 weeks later a V5C came though the post! It was amazingly easy to be fair!
This is how I filled out my form....
And I sent it with all these docs....
And I got a V5C back like this!
Thank you. I can confirm your information helped and my registration have been approved. THANK YOU AGAIN

Hello Guys,
I trust you are well. I am trying to register new import Toyota Vellfire for our business and the NOVA online system is rejecting the Japanese VIN number format - ANH20-8XXXXX. saying "The Vehicle Identification Number you have entered is not in the correct format. Please amend your entry."
Do anyone have a way around this please? As its not letting me progress until i enter the correct format VIN. Thank you

Hello All,
Do anyone have a template or copy of the DVLA V55/4 Frist Vehicle Tax & Registration form. I am Newbie and just imported my first 2010 Vellfire.
While some of the questions are pretty straightforward.
I am not sure the answer around
- HC (g/km or g/kWh)
- Euro Status
- RDE
Basically question 21 to 47 that has to do with emission.
Any help appreciated.

I can confirm this has been found by the police. Car was stolen using a key grabber. Number plate swapped. It is only by the Grace of God and sheer luck
