  1. Adrian Flux ripped me off last year on my first Alphard series 2 policy. £2250 for the year. Then they said the policy would take several days to become active, unless I paid an additional £500. I was forced to pay up or be without transport for a week, which would have cost me around the same. It was one of only two companies that would insure me. I'd been driving lease cars for the previous 7 years with no claims, however they would not accept this as proof of no claims. So I had zero. The van was unconverted at the time, but I was planning to convert it within the first few months, which they knew. My renewal quote just came through from Adrian Flux. They are asking for £3000 (£300x10months), plus an additional fiver for god knows what. Presumably I have a whole year no claims too. Last year I had very little choice of who would insure me due to me living on a canal boat marina. any advice would be gratefully received thanks
