Hi lovely Alphard owners, and Happy New Year. I bought my Vellfire last summer and after trialling a couple of mini trips I am now preparing for travel in France/Europe. I have applied successfully for a Crit'air sticker for my other vehicle which is a non imported car. This is a new requirement if you're taking your car/vanother motor vehicle to France. It identifies which category your vehicle falls in if you are visiting cities with clean air rules (like ULEZ here). It is a one off fee of less than £5 and last the life of the vehicle. When I looked at the V5 for my Vellfire for the emissions data which are required for the Crit'air website they are not shown on my V5, has anyone else had this issue/resolved it and if so I would be grateful if you can advise me. In case anyone else needs it this is the web address for the official French Govt Crit'air site https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/ - on the first page there is a click box to change the language to English. Meantime I shall write to DVLA to see if they are able to clarify how to fill this form out, but if anyone else has been successful in registering their import I would be keen to hear how you did this. I guess that's because you guys are using for commute as well - I am retired now so not applicable and I do less than 5000 miles a year. Horses for courses guess!

Hi Syl, Ive had a big motorhome before, but I searched a lot for insurance when I put deposit on my Vellfire yesterday. Confused.com got me best offer with Caravan and MotorhomeClub (Devitt Insurance) and I've been with them before = through confused.com at present they are giving the first year of membership to Caravan and Motorhome Club free (usually £66.50) which gives good discounts on breakdown insurance and also access and discounts on the club campsites. Mine was £356.44, and I opted for additional legal cover £29 so a really competitive offer and they are good insurers used to dealing with campervans. Good luck. Betty
