  1. Thanks, that makes sense, I thought it was that and as I said Ive only just noticed it. Cheers Pete
  2. Not sure if Ive always had this issue or if Ive just noticed it but when I'm going downhill and press the brake pedal my revs jump up, almost like using gear braking in a manual car. Is this normal? Usually jumps by at least 500 revs and when I press the accelerator it comes back down, doesn't always happen so has me thinking. Any input appreciated. Pete
  3. Sorry, can’t help as I never got it repaired as not really an issue with me, maybe someone else will be able to help you.
  4. Luckily no smoke but all sorted now 👍🏼
  5. They said they put in 4.3 Litres, that they never put in a full 5 Litre container, it’s a bit of a mystery but they said whatever I go ahead and do they’d pay for it, even if I want a new oil change so they’re doing everything to rectify it.
  6. Cheers, got a mobile mechanic coming out to drain some and I’ll get reimbursed for the charge. I’ve already driven 230 miles in it so hopefully no damaged done.
  7. Advice appreciated, see picture, oil is over the maximum, should some be drained, could this cause problems with the engine or will I be ok? Cheers
  8. Conversion company says it’s stays as is, an MPV as you state so all good 👍🏼
  9. Morning all, having my Vellfire converted at the moment, it was a 7 seater, now a 5 seater, do I have to inform the DVLA or register it under anything else? Cheers Pete
  10. Torque GT The Drum Business Park, Heathfield, Newton Abbot TQ12 6RY Happy to work on Alphards/Vellfires and many more imported Japanese cars. Had my rear bushes, shocks, steering rack and damper changed by them.
  11. Just to let you know how my repair went, the mechanic changed it in 30 mins, he'd never changed one before so I linked the video above how to do it. He reached up without doing any of what the video showed but he was obviously pretty competant as a mechanic and very flexible 🤣 Good luck, hope it solve the problem 👍🏻
  12. Always check the steering damper first as it's the cheapest part to replace. I had my steering rack replaced, luckily under warranty but it ended up being the damper.
