  1. Sunny morning today, ran through all the tips above, no airlock, fluid levels perfect, bottom hose hot but maybe no hot enough? Didn't reach high enough temp for fan to cut in so I think it must be a faulty stat...stuck open a little. Will order a new one & report back. Thanks for all the advice. Happy Xmas to all the Alphie's out there🎄
  2. Thanks for all the tips. It rained all day today so I will investigate more in the next few days.
  3. Hi Mike, thanks your advice, will try that today.👍
  4. Hi everyone I know its Winter but my 2007 v6 is running a lot cooler than usual..the needle stays below the bottom of the guage for 5 min or more then slowly creeps up to a 1/3rd of the scale. It used to be 1/2 way. Also not as much heat through the vents.. I suspect thermostat but it was only changed last year. Any help out there? She still is whisper quiet and runs like a dream. Should I be worried?
  5. Hi Chris I run a twin channel (red & white 3.5mm) in the rear consol into the headphone socket on my Android phone.. switch the head unit to video..you dont need the video socket for audio and hey presto, yog can play spotify etc through the head unit..sounds awesome too!. Just need the correct lead.
  6. Hi Mick, This won't help you that much, but I do use those connectors to play Spotify through my phone. It's an Android with a 3.5m earphone socket. I have the cinema sound set up and play it through the video channel using a two phonos to a 3.5mm jack plug..sounds amazing so they definitely can work. I'm not sure but they maybe audio only sockets.
  7. Thanks Chris That's a strong possibility I do tend to fill up to the brim when doing a long trip.. Will stop doing that! Hopefully that will sort it!
  8. Hi, Has anyone out there had any experience of a sudden strong smell of petrol in the rear nearside/filler cap area. I suspect the breather pipe? as no trace of any leaking fuel..My 2007 V6 has done 80,000 miles total, half of that after import, mainly between Cornwall and London. Its a super engine and had never missed a beat. At the risk of starting a second thread, I have being running Michelin cross climates tyres for over two years now, at 37psi and they have been superb with minimal wear😄... I highly recommend them despite the extra up front cost.
  9. Thanks Rojie...Will do👍
  10. Good Morning to all Alphard lovers...can any knowledgeable owner advise on a good quality replacement drop links, my 2007 Alphie needs at least two replacing, so I want to change all 4. So many different makes on the market, I am hoping someone can advise...?
  11. Hi I have also spent hours with Google translate! I agree with Rojie, your 10gb disc is probably full though that is a lot of songs. My unit (panasonic) uses built in software called Gracenote. It's a high speed recording system. Play the CD and it fully records it, usually in around 7 minutes....very clever. A little red logo appears when it starts. Sometimes it will index the CD in English, somtimes it doesnt recognize the UK titles. I also need to delete some Japanese playlists but that's for a rainy day!
  12. I agree with Picasso, Stuart Spencer Autos is a great start point, they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of other good dealers around but SS Autos supplied my gorgeous V6 G
  13. Hi Sorry can't help with the costs involved as it was a warranty job and they sourced the parts needed.Best ring round a few of the good specialists near you. As Dezufo says, it was the whole assembly needed changing. Good luck
  14. Hi I had exactly the same problem 2 years ago, door eventually jammed half open in a thunderstorm! It was indeed a snapped cable, I believe the cable assembly consists of two loops of cables, and a plastic lug was jamming the mechanism...someone here with better technical knowledge may explain better. Anyway the nice guys at Stuart Spencer Autos in Tipton put in a new cable under warranty..no problems since. I now coat with silicone spray which doesn't seem to pick up dirt.
  15. Hi You may have caught the camera button on the steering wheel... try a long press to reset it. Otherwise it's deep in the settings menu...A press on the camera icon should get you in and you can change which lines you have..aided by Google translate!!
