Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
By RCD do you Mean RCA, my Alphard has the theatre system with the 7 speakers and rear roof screen, on the back of the centre console bettween the front seats their are 3 RCA sockets, yellow for video, and red and white for audio, if you get a lead with 2 RCA plugs on one end and a 3.5mm jack plug on the other, plug the RCAs into red and white on back of cosole, and 3.5 mm into a music player, or headphone socket of a phone with one and music on it on sd card or internet radio/Spotify etc, then press the TV button on the head unit, whatever is playing on the music player/phone will now play on head unit, was that what you were asking Chris

Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
Quick update, the dealer has now fitted this box, it is just a generic Android/Apple Car Play box, it expands the radio, but still has the japanese Frequency range 76-90 so you have no idea what actual frequency you have, its a guess to what programme you have, it's also impossible to navigate, it works through the TV button, so i have lost my Aux input, all in all a disaster

Any ideas how to turn off the ladys voice in stereo menus, it's the more irritating of the 2 issues

Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
One other niggle is the fairly constant chatter from a female Japanese voice, and the constant beeping, can either of these be turned off or disconnected

Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
Thanks Roger, it has factory wheels, i have the GPS speedometer now, and it pretty much agrees with the speedo on the Alphard, so i think the GPS speed readout i was using which is part of MY Digtal OS mapping ( Memory Map )to check the Alphard, is actually not to accurate. fortunately the GPS speedo i bought has other functions, ie clock, compass overspeed warning, trip mileage and prob others i haven't found yet

Ok copied and pasted that into search, and that found it, had to do a lot of searching, but eventually found, the part that shows how to set up all the functions, on the headunit, thanks for that, just a thought does anybody make a set of transfers/decals for the hard buttons in english, thought it might be something a lot of people would buy

Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
Hi everybody, attached is a pic of the headunit, i just happened to have a 3.5mm to 2 rca plugs lead in my leads drawer lol, plugged the DAP into the sockets on the back of the centre console, pressed TV on the head unit, and hey presto music, we only have radio 2 at the mo, but the importer has a box coming that will attach to the head unit, and give us all sorts of things, its £350, also a stalk to fit cruise control. thanks for all the advice, think i am going to like it here. As an aside inside the center console, their is a small black box, with what looks like a mini cd slot in it, looks aftermarket any thoughts, can't follow the leads that were allready plugged into the rear of centre console, but they may go to this box, although the plugs on the back look grey. Cheers Chris

Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
Hi Roger, the line out on the A&K is analogue via 3.5 mm socket, bypassing the dac, so no problem, think i need to investigate, where the 3 leads are going that are allready plugged in their, this Alphard has a roof mounted tv screen, do they go there, would have thought their would be cables in the vehicle loom to that screen though, will look at it all, when the vehicle is here later today. Cheers Chris

Newbie
Hi everybody, brand new here, just bought a late 2006 Aphard G 2.4, low miles circa 60k, in white, wanted one for a long time, had to get one now, as can't drive for at least 3 months, due to injury, and in a moon boot, the Alphard is so easy to get in and out of the centre row in current circumstances, will be upset i can;t see what it drives like though. Cheers Chris

Aux input on headunit 2006 (56) Alphard 2.4
Their are 3 rca sockets there, 1 red and 1 white audio, and a yellow video one, they already have something plugged in though, are you saying that if i get a 3.5 mm plug to 2x rca plugs lead, and plug it into the sockets on the back of centre console, that would work, how would you select it on the head unit, their is no aux button on the head unit, like on some other Alphards, i have seen head unit pictures of. Cheers Chris
