Those red & blue cables do not look like original Toyota wiring! Probably part of the 1st head unit changeover.

Hi I shall be taking my 2004 3.0l Alphard to France in a couple of months. I want to know if I need any form of headlamp deflector to drive on the right. The Alphard has HID lights (if it makes any difference) If so, does anyone know where I can get them? Thanks Dick Powell

I can confirm this as my seats are nearly always in a rear facing position, it's much better if you have a rear conversion as 4/5 people can sit comfortably & socialise much better. I only face them forward when I need to carry more than one passenger for more than a few miles. Dick Powell

I'm about to do same. Have you decided where you are going to mount the c rail, I'm thinking of putting it in the gutter groove (haven't got a pop top). I'd appreciate any advice on this subject.

Hi, Has anybody fitted the rear conversion kit made by First Cut Campers. This is the flat pack kit & not the fully assembled one. It looks just what I want in their pictures, just want to know if anyone has any comments on it, or anything similar that has been used. Thanks.

Hi, I have a 2004 3.0 Alphard with a gas conversion. I am about to fit a rear kitchen conversion. Has anyone any ideas on the best place to store the spare wheel. I have a towbar fitted, does anyone know of any carrier which can attach to this? Any ideas & suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking to fit full length roof rails to my 2004 Alphard. There are fixings ar the front for roof bars, but nothing further back. Has anybody ever done this? Preferably without damaging bodywork.

After lots of research, I'm thinking of buying an Xtron unit on ebay. Can't find a model number, so I've attached a picture. Does anyone have any experience of this, fitting tips etc. Bearing in mind I have front & rear cameras, separate dvd player, & roof mounted screen Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for all the replies. I've actually tried it now. The switch from petrol to LPG is imperceptible & performance seems to be the same. As for mpg, to early to say. But as LPG is half the price of petrol, a small reduction won't matter!

Hi, picked up my 2004 3.0 MS Alphard a couple of days ago & very impressed so far. Managed to work most things out from the Japanese manuals that came with it, but I'm stumped by the operation of head unit, infotainment system, or whatever it's called! If I can't get it to display in English, I'd like to swap it for a replacement. I have front & rear cameras, & DVD player with roof mounted screen. Obviously I'd like these to remain working if possible. Has anyone carried this out successfully, if so which units are the best to go for (without breaking the bank)? Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for that, the only problem I can see now is the lack of service stations that sell the stuff! Picking up the Alphard next week, then getting on with modifications to the interior (hob, sink, curtains, leisure battery etc.) So I'll probably be posting more silly questions on 'how to in the future. 🙄

Nice to read your post. I'm about to collect a 2004 Alphard G, & would like to upgrade the head unit (my Japanese isn't too good :-)). I'd be interested to know how you coped with the sat navigation & whether the cameras worked as they should.

Hi, I'm about to collect a 2004 model G which has had an LPG conversion (professionally carried out). It looks in great condition. Does anyone have any experience of this conversion? I have driven it & it appears to drive faultlessly, the switch from petrol to LPG being barely perceptible. I'd appreciate any information or comments.

Does this manual cover the entertainment system? I'd like to know what connectors are on the back to see if it'll do what I have in mind. (2004 G model)

I'm told Thule do a roof around kit specifically for the Alphard.
