Flip Down TV Installation
Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. We are not really keen to do it ourselves hence looking for someone to fit a TV. There is currently no drop down monitor but there is space for one where the original back seat lights are mounted on the roof space. We would just like a simple TV that operates independently of the head unit and are not bothered about using it to play media. How difficult are they to fit in reality?

Thanks for replying. Sadly not something they are interested in and have tried several audio specialists but still no luck. The search continues...

Flip Down TV Installation
Does anyone out there know of an installer who can supply and fit a flip down TV into the roof of my Toyota Alphard Conversion. If not, any advice on how to do it ourselves would be very much appreciated. We are in Scotland but willing to travel

Worrying technical comment from the Alphard owner's handbook; in the event of a rear puncture, you should not fit the spare get home wheel to the rear of the vehicle as it may cause problems with your rear transmission and damage the transmission due to the sensors. Their advice is to take a front wheel and put it on the back and then put the get home wheel on to the front. Does anyone know if this is applicable to all models (both 4 and front wheel drive?)

If all else fails. ...Google Lens App translates photos of text into English but pretty time- consuming method. Okay if you are desperate

Shoilet in the rear?
Just taken delivery of my first ever Alphard ( converted 2021). Straight out to buy smallest portapotti available ( Thetford 335) Great fun seeing what would fit under sink. Glad I didn't just order online and hope for best. It was a laugh with shop owner but we got there! To be honest, that shoilet looked very swish but not much fun. Kitchen and storage space are more vital to me. Thanks for the video though.

New to Motorhoming
Hi and happy to be have accepted into the club. We are awaiting delivery of our Toyota Alphard Campervan which we bought 2 days ago from Fife Van and Motorhome Centre in Cowdenbeath. It is a 2006 2.4 litre which was converted in 2021 by Calders Campers. Highly recommend the team in Fife who were very helpful to us " campervan virgins" and gave us as much time as we needed to decide without any " hard sell" tactics which included letting us take the camper out for a short spin before the final decision was made. Have insured it today with Adrian Flux ( agent Kieren) who again was really helpful and got a great price including medical, legal, European and personal item cover. Also replacement campervan cover if we were unable to drive ours as a result of accident. NFU had told us yesterday that I could not use 9 years plus no claims cover for the vehicle whilst the team at Adrian Flux said I could so that was extremely reassuring. Anyway, we are looking forward to being part of the forum and hopefully let you know how we get on once we are " on the road " so to speak. Bound to have loads of questions!
