  1. Yes I'm aware of it, that's why I stated this year. Thanks
  2. Hi all, just had my renewal through for 2.4 08 camper, last year £435 this year £620!! Taking the Mick. Can anyone recommend an alternative they've used this year? Thanks
  3. Hi there, does your alphard still have it's original battery? Is it connected to a b2b or split charge? My original battery died after the first winter, there been a few chilly nights recently so probably doesn't help
  4. Another view. TV is 12v and I link up laptop with hdmi if I need to. I also found a 12v power supply/charger for the laptop. Hope that helps 😊
  5. Hi Simon, thought I'd just share my layout with pullout desk. It works pretty well and I'm 6ft. Alex
  6. The plates supplied by my importer were mot failures the following year at my local garage. They got some legal ones made to pass it (look ridiculous as they don't fit properly) and said they left my originals in the door pocket, it was up to me if I wanted to swap them back, which I did straight away!
  7. https://uk.alphardclub.com/forums/topic/1891-all-windows-open-after-returning-to-parked-car/ It turns out it was moisture that got into the key, so stripped it down, cleaned and all fine now 😊
  8. Sorry just found this previously asked 🙄
  9. Hi all, not sure if this has happened to anyone else. I've just been woken up at 5am by all my windows fully opening. I've had my van a couple of years, it's been converted and I always do the same thing, have one window slightly open for ventilation, lock the doors using the key fob and put the keys on the side. This has just freaked me out, what happens if it does this when I'm away from my van! Hopefully someone knows what it means or my van is now possessed! Cheers Alex
  10. Thanks Nigel, don't suppose you could take a picture if it shows up? Would save everyone the same hassle. No problem if you can't, all the best
  11. Hi Nigel, I'm just about to head off to Spain, did you manage to fit these ok? Cheers
  12. Sure, they're pretty universal, this one is a guy doing one on a Corsa but pretty much the same
  13. Blimey! I recently replaced both mine, pretty straight forward with a jack/socket set and checking out YouTube videos. They only cost £16.95 each from https://www.japeurocarparts.co.uk Check with them that the parts fit your model with vin number before ordering.
  14. Great idea thanks! Ah no I'm not quite Saga age yet
  15. Hi all, I'm insured with Adrian Flux When taking out the policy I questioned how long European breakdown cover was and they confirmed 60days and that's their maximum (I tried to increase it!) My first European trip was for nearly 90days (Schengen rules) Luckily my insurance was up for renewal 60days into my trip so would just use my new policy for the remaining 30days (I'm not sure if I would've had trouble if I'd needed to claim but technically I was covered) My next trip is coming up and again I want to be away for 90days but this time I'll only be covered for the 60days Has anyone else had this problem? any suggestions on cheap breakdown cover (that know what an Alphard camper is) for the last 30days? Thanks for any replies Alex
