I need this community's help. I live in canada and bought a beautiful 08 60km vellfire. Passed import inspection, passed another province's safety inspection and passed my province's safety inspection, or so I thought.... well I was called in for a follow up inspection as no one checked the headlights and tail lights for DOT certification which of course it failed as it's from Japan. Sooo now they pulled my insurance and registration till I can fix. Well the tail lights can be fixed with a bit of reflective tape but they are giving me no options with my headlights. All they say is get dot approved. (Reason of failure is no reflective on side, doesn't matter that other cars don't have that and that my van has a reflector 15 cms below.) Soooo does anyone have a great idea about how to get around this issue OR a comparably shaped headlight that I can somehow modify to fit in the opening??
