You sir are a a legend. I stumbled upon this thread and if I hadn't I was going to spend up to $8k or even more on trying to fix the problem. I was even close to purchasing an amplifier part # 86280-58090 but couldn't find the specific amp and there was one place in nz that could order it for $4.5k. I'm so greatful for you awesome bunch and I pray that God blesses you all with your hearts needs.

    Ps I own a 2012 Toyota vellfire 3.5 v6 with the 18 speakers.

@kev_coupe and @Tama from fiji I have the same issue, and I want to loop the purple 2 purple and brown to brown without breaking the case. Do you know the position of the purple and black pin with the case on?

    Thanks

Cannot bro ..the roofmonitor will not work after cutting the wire and connecting. you need to change the main board @ repair if you want the monitor to work...tq

You need to strip the loom gomg into the back of the brown plug.

remove the shielding and you'll see 2 purple and 2 brown wires. Loop them together and you'll get your audio back.

Obviously keep the plug in case you get the monitor repaired and can put it back to factory.20241129_185533.thumb.jpg.81b99ad19ae8b50682df1071ac4012ba.jpg

Gents I'm having the same problem with my 2014 Vellfire.  Head unit powers up, but no audio and unable to control the volume either via the adjust knob or the steering wheel controls.  The rear screen is also not working.

I've removed the rear screen to attempt bridging the pins as above, but my connectors are totally different...

I have the 18 speaker theatre system.  Is there somewhere I could view the wiring diagram for the 2014 model so I can attempt to bridge the correct pins and hopefully restore the audio?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Your problem solved?..help me

I managed to get the wiring diagram from Toyota based on the VIN number (clip of the relevant page below).  This document relates to a 2014 model with 18 speaker system, rear monitor and panoramic roof.

I'm yet to attempt to bridge the pins.  Looks from the diagram that the Mi Mo wires relate to the brown plug and not the larger white one as I originally thought.

    Will update once confirmed.
