Shane Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Hi guys just wondering what a rough or average price would be for a full side conversion if I decide to go down this route for my 2010 velfire. (Without getting ripped off). Thanks
Ian24 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 This all depends on the company, quality and finish of the materials use. On average a full side conversion with R+R bed, sink, fridge, portible loo, flooring, lights and units range anywhere between 7k-10k. Check on different companies websites they are helpful.😎
nov Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Pop out roof itself is around £4k fitted....if you think of having one.
Rojie Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I don't have a side conversion. The quality of the conversion is key, but especially if having a pop top. Some conversion companies are far more competent that others. Do your homework.
Ian24 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 There are plenty of conversion companies out there, Conwy campers, Calder campers and the one I am going to use is Northstar in isle of wight.😎

Pop Top is extra ! Depends which convertor you use. The Pop Top kits are not cheap, and fitting them is quite major; chassis rigidity and strength etc, in an accident / rollover !

Right OK thanks, so probably around the 10 to 13 k Marc then ...Big money
Pixdee Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I've just been quoted £12,200 for a side conversion with pop top, not sure it includes the bed boards etc........ The pop top is £3,500 on its own.
Chajoma Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 I've just paid £14k for a full side conversion with pop top and R+R bed at Funky Ram in Bristol. Freshly imported, I'm picking it up on Friday. I'll post some pictures when I have it. 1
Phil59 Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 I’ve been quoted £9850 for a side conversion and elevating roof by SC Conversions in Plymouth if that is any help? I have visited their workshop and all looks good with plenty of vans being worked on including a number of Alphards, I think he had 5 there when I last spoke. My conversion is due in July as he is so busy but I suppose the proof will be in the pudding. I’ll post some pictures when it is done. Conversion time is an estimated 3 weeks however and he doesn’t offer the wider bed.
pipsyp Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Holy thread revival! I can tell you the pop top conversion on ours (from Northstar) was 4300 quid back in 2021. The rear conversion was done by New Dawn which I dont have the paperwork for, but know from their website our conversion base cost would be about 2k bur our vehicle does have some extras (decent Vitrifrigo fridge/freezer etc). I guess everythings probably gone up a bit since too....reckon you probably need to budget a good 7 or 8k (or in other words nearly the cost of a half decent van) to convert one. Im not sure I could bring myself to buy a van and do it out, unless it was to do it exactly as I wanted it......tends to make more sense to buy one done as they tend to always sell for less than their conversion cost - privately particularly.
