Underslung water tank

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has found and fitted an underslung water tank? Just trying to improve capacity and free up cupboard space. Cheers

What vehicle do you have ?

If not a Hybrid, there should be plenty of room underneath, assuming you don't have (or are gong to have) LPG.

Depending on where you intend to travel, don't overlook fully 'winterising' the tank and pipes.

Heresy, I know, but try the VW guys. I expect they will have a solution !

Thanks Rojie, it's an 08 2.4ltr no LPG.

Hoping to stay in the sunshine!

Was just looking at https://www.tanks-direct.co.uk/water-tanks/water-tanks-by-capacity/1-100-litres/31-49-litres/c1091 looks like a lot of options. Only got a 12ltr tank and I get through that pretty quick with all the tea I drink 😁

Much cheaper, and easier, to buy some large bottles that will fit in the sliding doors.

Hi Tony

I am just about to bit the bullet on a conversion which has underslung tanks. All new to me so forgive the possibly dim question  - where/how do you fill the fresh water tank?

Mine is a wellhouse conversion and it fills from a filler cap in the side of the passenger seat base in to a 35l tank. That gets pumped to the sink and then to a 35l waste tank on the other side. That is emptied by a tap under it, plus another drain to the sink if it gets blocked.

I've never dared to drive with either full.
