Cruise Control operation

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

We have a series 20 Alphard with original cruise control.  While cruise control works, it will not set at speeds over 68mph.

Is this a normal operation?

If I set it below 68mph, I can then use the resume function, however once the car speed reaches 68mph it stops acceleration.

yes, it's the standard max speed, but you can fit a another Cruise unit which will allow you to increase it to the mid 80's.

I put this post up last night:

I am talking with another owner to find out the 'all in' price to buy one of these from Japan.

It will use the existing stalk and allows you to change from OEM to the new controller, includes throttle response computer too, which will be great for my heavy boots in my 3.5L, I still get surprised when it takes off!
