drahpla
They adjust from ridiculously low up to slightly above standard ride height. Set to standard height they are more firmly damped than the stock suspension but it's not crazy stiff and there's much better body control. Set low they are ridiculously jiggly (intolerable in my view, but then I'm old), presumably because there's little to no stroke left in the damper. I swapped them out for stock suspension and kind of wish I'd kept them on but at standard ride height. However I've had the car rust proofed at Before n After now, which included the new suspension, so I don't want to swap them back and disturb the rustproofing coating. And I also don't want to pay the garage to undo the work I just paid them to do! £100 for the set. I'm in the east midlands near junction 20 of the M1. J888
Hi are these still available? (Most likely not judging the date but God loves a trier!)
drahpla
Unless my ex-wife has thrown them out, then yes they will be.
J888
Oh, sorry for bringing up a can of worms 🫢 I have the same set of coilovers but the rear spring perch collars have seized and it’s near impossible to find replacement parts. Your set was the nearest bargain I could find if available. Sorry about the news again.
drahpla
Don't worry about that. Do you want me to find out if they are there?
J888
Yes mate, I’ll only need the rear adjustable spring perches, not too bothered about the rest.
drahpla
OK I'll ask her. Would you want to pick them up, or get them posted?
J888
I would need them posted as I’m up in the north east ~190 miles away!
drahpla
They are very heavy! Would it be better to remove the bits you wanted and bin the rest? It would seem a shame to do that as you might need other spares in the future. Maybe if you look on the website shiply you can find someone who will pick them up and drop them to your for sensible money?
J888
If the whole lot is there I might have to consider taking the trip to pick them up as I don’t trust a courier delivering these to my door. Trouble is finding a whole day free that’s proving difficult as it’s half term at the moment. Let me get back to you with a pick up date. Can you confirm the full set of coilovers is there? drahpla
I've messaged my ex. If it's still there I'll go and collect it, bring it to my house and take some fresh pictures to ensure there are no crossed wires - it's a long way to come to find out it's missing something. J888
Thanks mate much appreciated. As long as the rear silver spring perches are there I will just take those for £100, anything else will be a bonus for me. Heres a pic of them highlighted just to double confirm
drahpla
OK no problem. She reckons they are still there and will bring them to me tomorrow afternoon. I'll confirm when I've got them. Cheers.
J888
Funny how I can’t add files to a PM but can through a public post.. as mentioned in my PM, a few pics of my seized spring perches and rounded bolt

The facility is there, although I have not personally tried it. I'll try and send you a file to check.

Hi sorry for the late reply - yes I received your PM but was still unable to reply with photos. The options simply aren’t there compared to a public post where there’s an ‘add files’ and ‘other media’ tabs under the reply box
