Oddcouple
Out of interest, what tyre speed rating do you all use. For some reason I have W 101 on at the minute, seems massive overkill to me……I get the weight, but W?
Chris.ac
Mine are 96H. 215/60r17 - exactly what it states on the door jam Searching for tyres, I find the higher rated ones seem cheaper, probably due to supply/demand, higher rating has to be safer, am i right? Oddcouple
I’m running 235/50r18 101W, just feel that W is a bit much! Looking at putting all season tyres on, I have michalin cross climate on the car, they’ve been really good so might go for them. A couple of deals around where ‘Y’ ratings are even cheaper. I guess it’s where and when you look……
Chris.ac
on my door jam, there is another tyre combo listed - T165/80R17 104M So perhaps 101W is not so crazy if the overall width of the tyre has changed? edit: maybe this is my spare wheel? the pressure listed is 4.2 as opposed to 2.4 Edited May 17, 2022 by Chris.ac
