Should I use 5w20 or 5w30 engine oil for 2012 Vellfire 2.4 in UK?

I have asked same question, and my garage adv the most important thing to know is, the oil in it already, is it - Synthetic, Part Synthetic, Non Synthetic, as this is the most important thing, but 5W 30 yes.

I have used 0w-20 right before I transported my Vellfire from HK to UK as I think Uk is much cooler. Do you agree with it?

 

Do you have any recommendations for my next engine oil?

I thought all half decent oils now a days are fully synthetic by default.

 

I was told always follow the oil spec that is on the engine oil cap and you can't go wrong.

 

How to check what oil is in the car Already? Is there some way to test at home without taking it to a garage?

Oil will run a similar temprature, because its 40 deg outside doesn't really make the oil any hotter. 

 

The the right grade then also most importantly specification. For my 3.5 I have 5w30 with A5 specification. Its not just all about Grade.
