Hi all can someone tell me what the black box in the driver's side quarter window is and why is it unplugged..many thanks..Andy.

Possible wi-fi transmitter/receiver for an ETC unit (an auto road-toll payment system used in Japan). I have a similar looking thing at the bottom of my windscreen, attached to the ETC unit in the glovebox. Follow the wire, see if you can find it.
