Has anybody used Amayam for spares?

Recommended Posts

HI,

i was wondering if anybody has used Amayama.com to source parts from Japan before.  I may need to source a rear bumper and reflectors if it cannot be repaired and want to be sure I won't get done over if imported.

Thanks in advance

Neil

Thanks for your reply.  Shipping for the bumper and upper quarter panel is £119 as it is only just over 8kg + 4% import tax and 20% vat - so works out under a grand.  Hoping that I it is repairable…..I know they can do all sorts of magic now….

But you can use ToyoyaAlphardepc.com to get the correct part numbers.

But you do need to be patient and be able to read mechanical drawings.

True,  thanks for your insite to this issue.   Just to be clear Rojie  I did mechanical drawings for automatic gearboxes in my fourth year at technical colleage part of (my exam for a Master Craftsman) IMI mechanic, studied contract 'Common Law' for the motortrade two years at Surtees racing, thirty years as a Group after sales director responsible for over 104 after sales personnel and 7 After Sales dept's throughout Sussex

I'm having eye surgery on Friday (at High Noon).

Hopefully that will improve my responses.

I have also used Amayama to source a Lever Sub-Assy, Rear Seat Lock Control, LH & RH, to enable the rear captain seats to slide inwards. Annoyingly, I only ordered 1 set screw for each seat instead of 2. Will have to source the additional screws locally.

Was really impressed with the great packaging!

Do you still have any details/links on the parts? As I wanted to add the lever to my chairs too, thanks.

Please bear in mind this is specific to my vehicle's trim and colour codes which is a 1st generation, 2009 Vellfire, with beige leather seats.
Best suggestion is to go onto the Amayama website and click on: "Genuine Online Car Parts Catalogue" and select: "Toyota" from the list. Enter your vehicle's VIN/Frame number in the box. Then from the Part's Group select: "Body & Interior" then select: "Seat and Seat Track" then from there you can see the exploded diagram parts and parts numbers.

just had my alphie repaired similar looking damage. They managed to sort it without replacement as it was a third party claim with the defendant I left it for the ins comps to sort it out. I have just seen the bill an eye watering £3.700 for the repair also 17 days hire of a same class vehicle £4,400 ouch !!!! no wonder our insurance is so expensive

How much are you paying for insurance ?

There is an Insurance Company thread on here, if you think you are paying too much.

£350 as a ball park, a bit more for conversions.
