Nellyelly Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 HI, i was wondering if anybody has used Amayama.com to source parts from Japan before. I may need to source a rear bumper and reflectors if it cannot be repaired and want to be sure I won't get done over if imported. Thanks in advance Neil

Daisuki_JDM Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 I have used them years back. I imagine the shipping for a rear bumper would be eye watering. Try your local dealer with the part number.
Nellyelly Posted September 17, 2022 Author Posted September 17, 2022 Thanks for your reply. Shipping for the bumper and upper quarter panel is £119 as it is only just over 8kg + 4% import tax and 20% vat - so works out under a grand. Hoping that I it is repairable…..I know they can do all sorts of magic now…. neil

Dean Griffin Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Yes I have used them for smaller parts. They are reliable, just make sure you get the part numbers right
ThuMentaliss Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I got put off by them due to you have to be the 'partsperson' and idenify the parts you need and yes they are expensive
Rojie Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 But you can use ToyotaAlphardepc.com to get the correct part numbers. But you do need to be patient and be able to read mechanical drawings.

Toyota not Toyoya ! https://toyota.epc-data.com/alphard/ I'm having eye surgery on Friday (at High Noon). Hopefully that will improve my responses.

Chris.ac Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I have ordered from amayama, was painless, and for the parts I needed (part of dashboard trim, and new light stalk) it was cheaper than other sites.
Kink43 Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I also use amayama. Takes a while to get your parts, but never a problem with the order.
Lesz Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 I have also used Amayama to source a Lever Sub-Assy, Rear Seat Lock Control, LH & RH, to enable the rear captain seats to slide inwards. Annoyingly, I only ordered 1 set screw for each seat instead of 2. Will have to source the additional screws locally. Was really impressed with the great packaging!

Do you still have any details/links on the parts? As I wanted to add the lever to my chairs too, thanks.

Sure, here they are: Left Side Assembly rear Passenger Seat - 72058A Screws (x2) 90167-40044 Right Side Assembly rear Passenger Seat - 72057 Screws (x2) 90167-40044 Please bear in mind this is specific to my vehicle's trim and colour codes which is a 1st generation, 2009 Vellfire, with beige leather seats. Best suggestion is to go onto the Amayama website and click on: "Genuine Online Car Parts Catalogue" and select: "Toyota" from the list. Enter your vehicle's VIN/Frame number in the box. Then from the Part's Group select: "Body & Interior" then select: "Seat and Seat Track" then from there you can see the exploded diagram parts and parts numbers. 1

Mike Matts Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 just had my alphie repaired similar looking damage. They managed to sort it without replacement as it was a third party claim with the defendant I left it for the ins comps to sort it out. I have just seen the bill an eye watering £3.700 for the repair also 17 days hire of a same class vehicle £4,400 ouch !!!! no wonder our insurance is so expensive Mike

There is an Insurance Company thread on here, if you think you are paying too much. £350 as a ball park, a bit more for conversions.
Nukes25 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 I have used Amayama for smaller parts ( engine parts/ gaskets I couldnt find on yahoo auctions japan). I only search directly on their site if I have the part number already, usually I am linked to them from the relevant epc site I'm looking from ( https:// (toyota or mitsubishi).epc-data.com ) shipping to Canada from them has been very reasonable, compared to other site's I've looked over WIth shipping rates nowadays, not sure how accomodating to the wallet large part shipping will be
