Presumably, you mean the front fog lights ?

Hi Bernard, I currently have a 2002 Alphard 3.0 G, but a couple of years ago I had a 2005 Alphard G and I used to get the sound of an electric motor coming from the front nearside possibly behind the bumper. I assumed it was to do with the probe that was fitted to the bumper - something to do with a Japanese means of spotting the corner of the car when manoevering, but I never did confirm that is what it was for sure.

it may be that they are HID or LED which have a control  module and cooling  fan
