Hi All,

 

 

 

I have a 2003 3 litre alphard with and I have rad articles which say you much change all the tyres at the same time otherwise it affects the computer system that controls the all wheel drive system.Any thoughts,?

I would be more worried about the transferbox. AWD systems will eat tyres equaly, if you only change one pair you can create a difference in rotation speed between the axels which will have to be compensated by the transfercase this can lead to premature faults etc. As a rule of thumb you should have all 4 tyres changed at the same time, and they should all be the same size etc.

Hi

I have two perfectly good tyres (1200 miles) and need to change the other 2. Do I throw the good tyres away?

Why would you ?

 

Give them away to a 2wd Alphie owner.

Keep them in the Community.

 

Perhaps you should declare their size and place them in the For Sale section.
