  1. I would be more worried about the transferbox. AWD systems will eat tyres equaly, if you only change one pair you can create a difference in rotation speed between the axels which will have to be compensated by the transfercase this can lead to premature faults etc. As a rule of thumb you should have all 4 tyres changed at the same time, and they should all be the same size etc.
  2. Seen plenty of projects done be the Japanese guys, where they cut open tail lights and retrofit LEDs inside, some look really good some not so much πŸ˜ƒ All depends how far you want to take it
  3. only with "Cold weather" package, they come on with the rear window, as in using the same button, I think all of the wiring is there, you're possibly just missing the fuse and mirrors that have the heating element built in. Hey there, I got the exact same model 3 litre AWD, and went through the oil change: - gear box - really good to get this changed - transfer case / transaxle - owners manual states GL5 85w-90 - there is a drain plug and refill plug - rear diff - same as above GL5 85-90 and it also has drain plug and refill plug To me that suggests, that the car manufacturer was thinking about changing these oils, and as a good practice they should be.   6. I guess worth checking if the coil packs and plugs are working well. I had some juddering, albeit at a particular speed, that was coming from the gearbox. Oil change solve the problem. But coil packs and plugs are next on my to do lis.
  7. Chris is right, you need to take the transparent cover off. Don't try to pull full thing out, there are screws under that cover holding it.

  9. They are such a pleasure to drive it's difficult to resist πŸ˜‰ I only drive to the office couple of days a week anyway, so no benefit of me having another car. With Β£1.6 for fuel I drive light footed most of the times πŸ˜‚ 4wd are a bit less popular in the sell ads here in UK, but I think equally popular in Japan, is you are planning direct import πŸ‘

I actually drive the 10 series, with 3L V6 as my daily πŸ˜‚ But the comparison stands for all types, with this weight and power front wheels will always struggle to deliver power, again depends how you want to drive the thing.. raced against 190bhp 320d on 400m run and lost just by 1/2 length car, which is still impressive for size πŸ˜‹
  11. Drove both before buying and went for 4wd or should I say all wheel drive, it doesn't have the diff locks or anything like that, just all wheel drive that is on all the time. It has much better acceleration compared to 2wd as it uses all 4 wheels to push it self forward, that being said it does add weight and complexity to the drive system so in case of potential issues you can spend a lot more.. Fuel efficiency is again a bit worse with all wheel drive, and you have to remember to change all 4 tires at the same time otherwise transfer box can die. If I had to choose again I would still go with 4wd 😁
