Hi,

2005 Alphard with towbar fitted. Owned for several years and bike rack  lights worked from a 7 pin towbar socket. Recently left bikerack indicator stopped working (the van's indicator does work), all other bikerack lights work. Obviously checked bulb, tried different set of external lights and changed the towbar socket but still left bikerack indicator   doesn't work. Any other suggestions?  Not 100% on how towbar is wired into van but internet suggests a relay, any pointers gratefully received but probably time to take it to the garage. many thanks

Hi, could be that the wire from the L/H indicator circuit to the socket has become disconnected from the L/H Ind circuit.Worth undoing the 2 bolts that hold in the L/H rear light cluster and pulling off the whole cluster, you should find the wire to the socket for the bike rack indicator[yellow]. Check the connection at both ends. If there is no obvious problem, put in a temporary wire and see if that works. If it works make the temporary wire permanent. Hope this helps.
