Tailgate wiring 2006 3.0L - seeking pinout of connectors

I'm trying to find the reversing (backup) light wire so I can splice into it for towbar wiring.

Before I battle with removing all of the trim pieces from the tailgate, does anyone have the pinout for the two connectors that carry all of the tailgate electrics.

There's a blue and a white connector behind the rear, nearside upper trim panel (circled in red on attached diagram).

I've got the Gen2 wiring details but I'm not convinced it's the same for Gen1 - can anyone help.

(I know I can poke around with a meter but it would be a lot easier if I had a diagram or knew which wire it was in advance).

Your lucky I still have the panel off on my Gen1, the reversing light wire colours are; + red/black line, - white/black line

Thanks dezufo, I traced the wire back to the blue connector and confirmed with a probe.....
