Hi all,

 

My Alphard came with a Remote Start but I can not figure out what is wrong with it.

 

When I press "i" I receive information back. The engine is off and the engine temperature.

 

When I press "E" and stop/lock I receive information back. The engine is off, engine temperature and timer.

 

When I press "E" and l start/unlock I receive information back but only the car symbol with an X inside.

 

 

Any idea why or what is wrong?

 

The car is locked, the gearbox is in P, handbrake is engaged.

What could stop it from starting?

Is this an after market item ?

 

Are you certain it ever worked properly ?

From what I read it's was an option installed by Toyota. 

 

Never worked for me so I cannot be sure it worked previously. Works for others with the same remote start but that doesn't mean anything.
